At the 2026 General Election on November 2, the positions for Mayor and three Councilors will appear on the ballot.  The filing period of interested candidates began on June 03, 2026, and all filing requirements must be completed and returned to the City of Dufur Elections Officer by 3:00 pm on August 18, 2026

To qualify as a candidate for Mayor or City Councilor, you must be;

Please contact Kathy at 541-467-2348 or via email at kathy@cityofdufur.org for additional information.  The candidate packet is available by emailing the City Recorder, picking up at City Hall, or by downloading from the city’s website at CITYOFDUFUR.ORG.  Interest candidate must complete Form SEL 101 Candidate filing and the top portion of SEL121 Candidate Signature Sheet and file with the City Recorder.

We need your help with the 5-year update on Dufur’s 10-year vision: how are we doing and how do we get there?

The Dufur community came together to develop a Community Vision and Action plan in 2016. Following that process the Dufur community made school improvements, added new sidewalks, moved forward needed infrastructure projects, and upgraded park facilities leveraging outside grant funding and local investment.

It’s time for community members, businesses and organizations to come together again to update this vision for what they want Dufur to be in the future. This vision will help guide development, community focus, and investments in the coming years as well as provide a reference for outside funders supporting Dufur.

There are two ways to contribute your ideas:

2. Attend the community meeting Tuesday, November 15th at 6 p.m. at Dufur School. Dinner will be provided.

FOR SALE: 1993 Dodge Brush Truck. The City of Dufur is accepting sealed bids for its 1993 Dodge Brush Truck.  The truck is being sold as-is.  It does start and drive, but there are known transmission issues. Buyer is responsible for transportation.

The Dufur City Council announces a vacancy on the Dufur City Council.  The term of office will begin on June 09, 2026, and end on December 31, 2028.

At this time, the vacancy will be filled by appointment of the sitting Dufur City Council.  Any person who has resided in Dufur for at least one year and is a registered voter is eligible to fill this office. Interested individuals are invited to submit a letter of interest to the Council.

Please submit all letters to the City Recorder by noon on June 8, 2026
