2026 CITY COUNCIL ELECTION
At the 2026 General Election on November 2, the positions for Mayor and three Councilors will appear on the ballot. The filing period of interested candidates began on June 03, 2026, and all filing requirements must be completed and returned to the City of Dufur Elections Officer by 3:00 pm on August 18, 2026
OPEN CITY OF DUFUR POSITIONS
· All positions are non-partisan; and · Are volunteer/non-paid; and · All terms will begin on January 1, 2027. The Oath of Office will be administered at the first meeting of the City Council on January 12, 2027
QUALIFICATIONS AND RESIDENCY REQUIREMENTS
To qualify as a candidate for Mayor or City Councilor, you must be;
· A qualified elector under the laws and constitution of the State of Oregon, and · registered voter of the City of Dufur; and · Must reside within the City Limits of Dufur for more than 12 months

The candidate packet is available by emailing the City Recorder, picking up at City Hall, or by downloading from the city’s website at CITYOFDUFUR.ORG. Interest candidate must complete Form SEL 101 Candidate filing and the top portion of SEL121 Candidate Signature Sheet and file with the City Recorder.
· You have two choices when you file: pay a $10 filing fee or file by petition and collect ten signatures. o If you choose to collect signatures, they must: (form SEL121) ü Living inside Dufur city limits ü Registered voter
