City Election

Are you interested in running for a seat on Dufur City Council? Below are the current positions available for the November 2024 Election.

            Mayor – 2 year term

            Three City Council Positions – 4-year terms

                        Position #1, #3, #5

To qualify, candidates must:

• Be a registered voter
• Reside within the Dufur city limits
• Be a resident of Dufur for one year or more

You have two choices when you file: pay a $10 filing fee or file by petition and collect ten signatures. If you choose to collect signatures, they must: (form SEL121)

• Living inside Dufur city limits
• Registered voter
• Fill out all three forms

Filing by petition (gathering signatures instead of paying a filing fee), we ask that you turn in forms by August 20th, 2024, we can confirm the signatures against the database.

An application can be picked up at Dufur City Hall during normal business hours or on the City of Dufur website under the document page.

The deadline for all applications is 5:00 p.m. August 27, 2024. Applications must be returned to Kathy at Dufur City Hall.
